Every year, 200,000 babies are born with clubfoot—a completely correctable birth defect.

Even though an effective treatment exists, 80% of children born with clubfoot in the developing world have no choice but to live with it.

Clubfoot Fund is charting the path for corporations, foundations and individuals to help every child walk and run freely.

Clubfoot is a congenital deformity where the foot is turned inward and downward. It can mark already disadvantaged kids for life, impeding their ability to thrive. Left untreated, they face a life of stigma, pain, missed education, and limited opportunity. For sponsors seeking partnerships that guarantee impact, the Clubfoot Fund is charting creative new paths. Together, we can solve this global health problem.

The Fund creates mutually beneficial programs and initiatives that align with an organization’s values and goals, from event sponsorship to matching grant fund drives. By providing a lifetime of mobility for thousands of children, you enhance your brand while promoting equity and team cohesion. Doing well by doing good brings customers, suppliers, employees and media together to solve a global problem and change the trajectory of thousands of children’s lives.

Global Clubfoot Initiative

We work in partnership with the Global Clubfoot Initiative, an umbrella organization with 60 members in over 70 countries.

GCI's RunFree 2030 campaign is mobilizing global resources to ensure every child born with clubfoot has access to treatment, unlocking the chance to walk, play, and run free.

The Ponseti Method is 97% effective

Thanks to a technology called “human touch.”

In a world where hard-to-access and expensive medical procedures are the norm, this low-cost, effective approach qualifies as revolutionary. The Ponseti Method is a physical therapy requiring only the trained hands of a local caregiver and a sequence of casts and braces.

Clubfoot Fund was started by Bill Palmer, inspired by his own struggle with clubfoot at a time when the course of treatment was far less certain and defined — before the Ponseti method became the standard of care.

Bill has led successful cause-marketing campaigns linking organizational activities to charitable causes that not only do good in the world but also support productive business activity.

Bill has partnered with organizations such as NASA Kennedy Space Center, Gilead Sciences, Land Rover, Sony PlayStation, and L’Oréal, as well as leaders in transition, technical experts cultivating leadership skills, and global teams managing complexity. Culturally agile, he has worked in 26 countries. Since 2022, he has served as a pro bono consultant and coach for the UK-based Global Clubfoot Initiative.

$80M per year

That amount of money would cover the cost of delivering the treatment to those who would otherwise go without care.

Your organization’s support helps bridge the gaps in the existing patchwork of treatment providers, to deliver health equity and reduce inequalities in alignment with UN Sustainable Development Goals.
